FAQ's

CAN I COLOR MY HAIR?

All of our hair collections can be lifted and dyed. We recommend seeking professional help to ensure best results.

HOW MANY BUNDLES SHOULD I PURCHASE?

If you order lengths 16 inches or less, two bundles will be plenty. If you order inches 18 and above you will need three bundles.

HOW LONG WILL MY HAIR LAST?

Your hair can last up to one year or longer if you use proper care. Although this is not your real hair you should still treat it as such.
Here are a few tips you can use :
  • Please tie your hair up at night in a silk bonnet
  • Make sure you condition your extensions
  • Lower heat on curling irons so you don't burn out your hair. If you have colored extensions this is especially important.

SHOULD I PURCHASE A CLOSURE OR A FRONTAL?

The difference between a closure and a frontal is the size of the lace piece.
Closures range from:
  • 4x4
  • 5x5
  • 6x6
  • 7x7
Frontals come in:
  • 13x4
  • 13x6
I recommend closures to my wig beginners because they are  less maintenance. Please be advised that these are hand-tied lace pieces and  they are delicate. If you scratch the closure they will create bald spots.

ARE YOUR WIGS GLUE-LESS?

All my units are created with glue-less in mind so that you have the option to take them off and on at night. I recommend glue-less wigs so that your scalp can breathe and your able to treat ( oil) your scalp. The best illusion comes when you use some type of adhesive to help "melt" the lace into the skin whether it's glue or a gel product.

I DONT SEE A WIG I WANT. CAN I DESIGN MY OWN?

Yes, and we encourage you to build your own wig with us! Send us an email and please share your desired style and some images of what you're looking for. When building your own unit we can discuss color, length, density, and what styles you are looking to achieve through this unit.

WHAT SIZE SHOULD I ORDER?

Please use the guide provided below to select a cap size.

First: Circumference

The circumference is the width around your hairline. Please wrap your measuring tape around your ear so that it's tight and feels comfortable. You will use that measurement to determine the circumference size. If your circumference size is smaller or larger than what's listed, you will need to contact StarTrak Beauty Wigs to discuss before placing an order.

Second: Front to nape

Place measuring tape at the beginning of your hairline in the middle of your head. Continue going back until you reach the nape (bottom of hairline). Use the measurement from the middle of your forehead, come across the top of your head, then to the bottom.

Third: Ear to ear across forehead

Measure from ear to ear, across your hairline. For lace front wigs, the average size should be 13inches normally.

Forth: Ear to ear top head

Measure from ear to ear, across the top of your head. Please keep your measurments centered with your ear and the top head. This step is critical and helps determine how deep the wig cap needs to be.

Fifth: Temple to temple around back

Measure from temple to temple, across the back of your head. Keep a Horizontal line with your ear.

Last: Nape of the neck

Measure the bottom of your neck hairline from side to side.

****Please take the time to collect these measurements as they will ensure the perfect fit on your custom unit. If your circumference is other than 21-23.5, please contact StarTrak Beauty Wigs directly.
